Old New-Gate Prison and Copper Mine – After ten years of renovation, this archaeological site has finally been opened to public. The history of this place has attracted many people from within and outside of the town. Folks believe that copper was mined here and after some 30 years the mining tunnels were used as prisons first for conventional criminals and then for Loyalists and British prisoners during the Revolutionary War.
