Kitchen Remodeling in Babylon and More!

Babylon is a suburban town in New York along with ten other towns that make up Suffolk County. On its western side lies Nassau County with the Atlantic Ocean on its southern tip. The boundary surrounds 11 Hamlets (Deer Park, East Farmingdale, Gilgo, North Amityville, North Babylon) and three villages (Amityville, Babylon, Lindenhurst). Since water makes up more than half of its total area (295.78 km2), it has six islands and four beaches.

Originally it was part of the Huntington known as South Huntington. But in 1803, Nathaniel Conklin moved to this town and changed its name to New Babylon after the famous Mesopotamian ancient city of Babylon. He was a wealthy landowner, who purchased the majority of its land after settling here. Farmers from Huntington’s Southern part moved here for easy access to fish, clams, and boats. With the arrival of trains in 1867, it changed from a farming community to a travel destination with hotels and motels.

Like every other Long Island suburb, it has tree-lined streets, lush farms, and lively downtown. The environmental control department is very active in preserving this town’s natural beauty through its various programs. They organize activities and education events to engage and raise awareness about this issue among the inhabitants. With its clean roads and high security, this town becomes an ideal place for raising a family. That is why, out of its almost 22,000 residents, approximately 14,000 are young professionals with new families. Households with toddlers and teenagers prefer an area with a minimal crime rate so that their kids can move around freely.

Moreover, the excellent school system with efficient staff, qualified faculty, and outstanding sports programs act as a real magnet. There are a total of 69 high schools in Babylon, and some of them are ranked relatively high in the state. North Babylon Union Free School District is ranked 318th among the school districts in New York with above-average academics. The biggest perk of moving to this part of the county is its relatively diverse community and friendly community. Everyone is super helpful and inviting towards the new residents. You can feel the essence of a small town here where everyone knows each other and lives like a close-knitted community.

Apart from the beautiful streets, its downtown is full of life with busy cafes, huge stores, and fancy restaurants. Some of these places include:

The Brixton — A lively bar with a dining room serving delicious food and inventive cocktails.
Argyle Grill and Tavern — Eclectic grill serving local American favorites with a twist.
Barrique Kitchen & Wine Bar — Rustic eatery serving European food and fancy wine in a barn table.

All these aspects have resulted in the very high prices of property in the town of Babylon. Most of the houses have more than average rates ranging between $300,000 to $350,000. So in order to get more bang for your buck, we suggest renovating the house before putting it on the market for the sale. Most importantly, remodeling the kitchen of a home in Babylon is where a family tends to spend most of its time since a stylish but high functional kitchen doubles the joy of cooking and brings life to the house. If you’re looking for your kitchen remodeling in New York look no further than the team at Kitchen Infinity. We are here to help you every step of the way!
