On the south shore of Long Island in Suffolk County, New York, lies a town by the name of Islip, encompassing several hamlets (Bay Shore, Bayport, Baywood, Bohemia, Brentwood, Central Islip, East Islip, Great River, Islip, Islip Terrace) and villages (Brightwaters, Islandia, Ocean Beach, Saltaire).
