The 10 Best Korean BBQ Grill Pan Reviews of 2023

1. TeChef Stovetop Korean BBQ Grill Pan (Best Korean BBQ grill pan in 2023)

The TeChef Stovetop Korean BBQ Grill Pan is an innovative BBQ plate that anyone who wants to enjoy the ultimate grilling experience should own.

The first thing we love (and you’ll also probably love) about this Korean BBQ grill after trying it out is the ergonomic and cool swirl design of the pan. This design causes oil to drain off your meat slowly while locking in all the tantalizing flavors and juices of your food.

The draining system is such that the grill pan has a channel design that ends in a drain hole where you can place a bowl to collect the drained oil and grease. Also, its non-stick coating is made of 5 layers of Teflon print designs while the grill pan, itself, is made of heavy-grade Aluminum.

This means the cookware is durable and healthy for making BBQs as it’s free of PFOA, cadmium, and lead. Plus the BBQ grill pan is very easy to clean and maintain (and it’s dishwasher-safe!).

Furthermore, the TeChef Stovetop Korean BBQ Grill Pan has a BTU rating of 11,500 which makes it very powerful to heat up your food very fast. It is also oven-safe at temperatures, not more than 450 degrees Fahrenheit.

And finally, this Korean BBQ Grill Pan has 4 divots (raised feet underneath) to allow even heat dispersion. And their serrated edges steady the grill as you stir your food. So this and the CookKing Non-stick Traditional Korean Master Grill Pan are both stovetop grilling pans, but the CookKing pan is larger and has a more traditional design.

Note: This Korean grill pan requires heat from a gas cooker, and it doesn’t come with a drill container.

2. CookKing Non-stick Traditional Korean Master Grill Pan (Best Korean BBQ Grill for cooking multiple dishes)

The CookKing Korean Master Grill Pan is a popular model for two reasons. First, it’s all shades of versatility. And secondly, it’s perfect for hosting BBQ parties at home.

The pan that we tested is built having several compartments, making it possible to cook for many people at a time. You can grill your primary meal at its core and side dishes in the other pockets. You can also cook your vegetables and fish fillets with this tool.

One thing we love about this CookKing Korean grill is that it’s smokeless and won’t leave a smoky smell on your body. The cooking area is also made of durable non-stick coating – Titanium.

This cookware is also great for cooking healthy meals as it has a dome system to drain the grease and fat content of your food. However, it doesn’t dry up the oil completely. It retains some so you can cook your kimchi afterward.

This grill is made in Korea, so you can be sure of having quality nonstick cookware in your kitchen. Whether you want to chill outdoors or grill from the comfort of your indoor kitchen, the CookKing Traditional Master Grill Pan will make a great choice.

And should you want to eat rice with your BBQ, the CookKing Master Grill can serve as your rice cooker. And its compact design makes it an excellent tabletop grill. While both this option and the TeChef Stovetop Korean BBQ Grill Pan are both stovetop grilling pans, this is made of cast aluminum, which provides even heat distribution and helps to prevent burning

3. Iwatani Smokeless Korean BBQ Grill (Best budget Korean BBQ grill pan)

The Iwatani Smokeless Korean BBQ gas grill is an exceptional kitchenware.

We first love that this model we tested comes with its own butane gas-powered burner to quickly cook your food. And interestingly, the burner can burn non-stop for 217 minutes per butane canister; giving you ample time to engage in other activities.

The domed cooking surface is non-stick steel with a tilted grease drain system that allows for cooking healthy low-fat meals. The oil drains into the bottom Aluminum pan which doubles as the holding container for your water or marinade.

The Iwatani Smokeless Korean BBQ grill pan is also compact, lightweight, and easy to use and clean.

And finally, this smokeless grill pan is made of high-quality durable materials in Japan. So you can be sure this Korean BBQ will take charge of your culinary needs for a long time. Compared to the Zojirushi EB CC15, this is more suitable for outdoor use.

4. Zojirushi EB CC15 Indoor Electric Grill (Best Electric Korean BBQ Grill)

The Zojirushi EB CC15 is an innovative home grill for throwing your Korean-styled BBQ parties.

First, we love that it’s an electric unit with a 1,300-watt heating element that delivers so much power to cook your meat, fish, burgers, and vegetables very fast.

Not only does it heat food very fast, but its electric feature also grants it exceptional temperature control, affording you the choice to either turn the heat up or down: it’s got a temperature range of 176 to 410 degrees Fahrenheit.

And the “Keep Warm” feature ensures your food stays hot all through your party.

Second, it’s not your traditional Korean BBQ grill pan. It’s just an electric kitchen appliance (both for your indoor or your patio kitchen) built to deliver a versatile grilling experience. We also love that the BBQ plates and parts are detachable for easy cleanup.

Furthermore, the insulated cool-touch handles do not absorb heat. And to prevent your kitchen countertop from getting damaged, the plastic bottom stays cool all the time. There’s absolutely nothing not to love about this product.

The grill is also very easy to clean.

The grilling surface is made of dual-layer nonstick Titanium and ceramic which means it’s healthy for cooking and free of harmful chemicals like PFOA, lead, or cadmium. This also makes it one of the most durable and long-lasting models. Plus you won’t have problems taking your meat off the electric Korean BBQ grill.

Also, unlike our top choice (the Techef model), the Zojirushi EB CC15 has got a built-in drip tray to collect drained fat and grease from your meat so your kitchen doesn’t look messy. Compared to the CookKing Non-stick Traditional Korean Master Grill Pan, this is an indoor electric grill with adjustable temperature control and a nonstick surface.

Note: The deal-breaker for some people is that this grill doesn’t come with a lid. However, if this is your choice, the other benefits of owning this unit eclipse this problem.

5. Techwood Raclette Table Grill Electric Indoor Grill Korean BBQ Grill

When it comes to charcoal BBQ grill pans, the Techwood Raclette unit is our top choice, and here’s why.

First, we love its classic style and innovative design that features two circular parts. What’s particularly interesting is that the first part is dome-shaped, and has a non-stick Agalmatolite for cooking your meat and other food using infrared radiation technology.

The grill heats up meat and releases the oil on Agalmatolite (natural stone core) surface, which then drains the oil into the Aluminum ring-like pan underneath – this is the second part.

The stainless steel surrounding the Agalmatolite core allows grease to easily run off and it’s also used to store cooked food without them drying out.

Cooking with this Agalmatolite stone offers a few benefits.

First, it absorbs the infrared energy from the stove instead of cooking your meat directly. This gives your food a delicious taste (plus it tastes like it’s made with charcoal) and locks in all the flavors.

Secondly, it heats your food evenly on a portable gas burner and makes for cooking healthier meals without producing virtually any smoke.

While the Techwood Raclette Table Grill might be somewhat different from the other grills in this article, we absolutely love everything about it. For instance, compared to the Zojirushi EB CC15 Indoor Electric Grill, this is also an indoor electric grill with a nonstick surface, but it also features a raclette-style grilling plate for melting cheese and other toppings.

6. DeLonghi BG24 Perfecto Indoor Grill

The DeLonghi Perfecto is all shades of beauty with a modern style.

Aside from being electric, the next best thing we love about this BBQ when we tested it is that it’s got a tempered glass lid. While glass lids on Korean barbecue grills are rare, this cookware acts to lock in your food’s moisture and flavors.

And then the DeLonghi Perfecto BG24 has got heating elements that produce an impressive 1500 watts. This is powerful enough to cook your food in the shortest possible time.

It’s got a detachable thermostat with 5 heating settings and cool-touch handles to make the cooking experience a cool one.

The home appliance is non-stick and will improve the appearance of your countertop with its chic look. Moreover, it can also be used in a restaurant.

It’s perfect for cooking your Samgyeopsal, veggies, and meat. And if you’re wondering, the tabletop cookware has got a removable drip pan for collecting run-off grease and fat. And it is dishwasher-safe!

7. Kitchen + Home Korean BBQ Stovetop Grill

With an almost open core, the Kitchen + Home Korean BBQ Stovetop Grill Pan is a powerful tool for grilling pork and chicken very fast.

The cooking surface is made of FDA-approved durable double-coated nonstick PTFE. And the stainless steel rim can be used to store your cooked food before eating, while the bottom tray is cast aluminum.

The aluminum component makes this Korean BBQ model heat food up quickly and evenly to perfection.

Also, you can add water or marinade to the bottom aluminum tray to make your food have more tantalizing flavors.

Some other interesting features of this Korean BBQ are that it is dishwasher-safe; thus making it easy to clean. And it doesn’t produce any smoke. Amazing!

8. Queen Sense Korean BBQ Grill

If you’re looking for a budget-friendly grill that’ll save you time by cooking multiple dishes at a time, search no further.

The Queen Sense Korean BBQ Grill is one of such grill pan you can use for cooking rice, Samgyeopsal, veggies, and more in the same place, at the same time. The cast-Aluminum non-stick coating makes cleaning the pan a breeze.

Some other features we like about this Korean grilling pan are that it allows for grilling healthy low-fat meals. It is dome-shaped and has a grease/oil-draining hole for collecting excess oil run-off in a bowl. The design also allows it to heat the cooking surface evenly and quickly.

So if your side dishes are properly cooked, you can take them off the grill while you continue grilling your meat.

And finally, the compact size of the Korean grill ensures you can conveniently use it indoors or in your outdoor kitchen. And you’ll need a portable gas cooker to cook with this pan.

9. KD HOME Korean BBQ Grill with Drain

If you’re a lover of traditional Korean grills, you’ll appreciate the KD HOME Korean BBQ Grill with Drain.

When we tested out this contender for the best Korean grilling pan, we found out that it’s made with top-quality material – cast aluminum which is actually the best material for BBQ grill construction. Another amazing feature of this grill is that it is a traditional Korean design.

Some of the benefits of this Korean grill pan are its excellent heat retention which makes it use less charcoal. And it just leaves those fine lines on your meat.

We also love that this BBQ grill browns meat to perfection; giving you that delectable shade you so crave, and your friends will relish.

It’s also the perfect tool for camping or having Korean-style parties on your patio. On the flip side, this BBQ gets very hot and is not suitable for your indoor kitchen. But who wants to use this rugged beast inside when we should all be frolicking in the garden?

Some other feature we don’t love about the KD Home Korean Grill is that you’ll need to oil it properly as it tends to rust quickly.

And because it’s a charcoal BBQ, you’re exposed to inhaling Carbon Monoxide which is harmful to your health. However, it’s versatile in that you can also use it on a stovetop or campfire.

10. Eutuxia Master Korean BBQ Multi-roaster Grill Pan

Here’s another cast iron BBQ grill that’s very fast in cooking meat and other recipes at the same time.

The first thing we love about this pan is that it’s smokeless, so it’s goodbye to dealing with smoky pans.

Secondly, it’s also great for cooking healthy low-fat meals as the grill top is made of multiple layers of nonstick Titanium coating. This also makes the kitchenware easy to clean.

And there’s a drain hole to get rid of grease and excess fat.

We also like that the BBQ pan’s edge is designed to accommodate other items like vegetables, eggs, mushrooms, corn, cheese, and others so you can enjoy your KBBQ in no time.

The Eutuxia Master Korean BBQ Pan is made of a high-grade material – cast iron – and is very similar to the CookKing model.

Buying Guide: Features to Consider when Picking Your Korean BBQ Grill Pan

Whether you’re choosing stainless steel, aluminum, or cast-iron pan for your KBBQ parties, some factors need to be considered to determine the best Korean grilling pan that’ll best satisfy your needs. Generally looking for bbq grill people often go for a price that is economical but other factors are there that should be kept in consideration.

BBQ Pan Material

Two factors come to play when picking your BBQ grill based on the material it’s made of.

First, the base material, and second, the coating.

For the base, Aluminum is an excellent choice for constructing the base of grill pans. Cookware with an Aluminum base generally tends to heat up faster and more evenly than most other materials.

This material also prevents hot spots from forming.

On the other hand, cast iron is the best and most durable choice for Korean BBQ bases. However, they’re very expensive and heavy. Cast Aluminum is more affordable, lightweight, and heats up your cooking surface faster.

Next up is the coating material.

The non-stick coating is the best as it prevents your meat from sticking to the Korean BBQ grill pan. However, not all nonstick materials are good for your health. Some release carcinogenic chemicals and fumes.

With that in mind, Titanium, Aluminum, marble top, and Teflon coating are among the best you can get. And look for products with multi-layered coats as they’re more durable.

Plate Size

The first thing to consider when picking the size of your BBQ plates is the number of people you cook for.

A compact grill will do if you’re cooking for just you. But if you host lots of Asian-styled parties, you’ll need one with a larger cooking area.

Regardless of the brand you choose, make sure you go for a size that won’t take up too much space on your kitchen countertop.

Heat source

As Korean BBQ grills come in different types, so do the heat sources they employ.

The most common options are either gas-powered, electric, or charcoal heat. They all have their unique selling points, so be sure to check the type that suits you best.

Drip Tray and Ease of Greasing

A drip tray makes cleaning your BBQ a breeze, plus it keeps your kitchen less messy.

Some BBQ brands come with drip trays to collect run-off grease, while others require you to position a container underneath the draining hole.

While the former is comfier to use, the latter isn’t much of a pain.

Secondly, nonstick cookware needs to be greased before cooking. So pick the best Korean grilling pan with a surface that’s not difficult to grease.

Frequently Asked Questions

To ensure your Korean BBQ is in good shape for a long time, you’ll need to observe a good cleaning and maintenance culture.

And while you can get some dishwasher-safe BBQ pans, it’s advisable you handwash them.

First, before using your BBQ pan, apply oil or fat onto its surface and allow it to seep into the coating. Then heat up the grill to a high temperature before placing your items on the grilling surface.

Ensure the oil doesn’t spread to the parts where it’ll come in contact with flames.

Always repeat this entire process if you’ve got a new BBQ pan or you haven’t used yours in a long while.

And it’s important you clean your BBQ grill interior and exterior after every use. Scrub the pan using a cloth or brush and warm soapy water before drying. But first, allow the cookware to cool down before washing it.

Also, refrain from using an abrasive sponge and soaps manufactured to remove grease. They can hurt your cookware’s surface or make it lose its seasoning.

If maintaing and cleaning a grill pan is too much for you, you can consider a getting a non-stick pan for your cooking needs.

Bulgogi is one of the most popular traditional Korean dishes, and we’re going to learn how to prepare it.

First, we can either get a Korean BBQ marinade or make one.

We’ll mix 2 parts soy sauce to 1 part pear juice. Then we’ll add other ingredients like sesame seeds, sesame oil, sugar, onion, black pepper, sugar, and ginger. We’ll then mix everything in a bowl and allow it to sit for a few minutes.

Next up, we’ll prepare our beef – bulgogi or short galbi ribs into thin strips. We’ll do this by putting it in a pan and covering it with our marinade before stirring and putting it in the fridge for an hour.

After that, we’re ready to cook.

This will take around 3 – 6 minutes, so we’ll first heat our BBQ plate to between 120 – 150°C before applying oil on the pan.

We can then add our beef and other ingredients in a single layer over the pan. When the edges turn brown, we’ll then turn the meat so it’s cooked evenly.

When we’re done with this stage, we can then serve our meal with our favorite veggies.
